Nursing and Midwifery Colleges Licensure Examination Begins Online. Nursing and Midwifery institutions in the country have started their online Licensure Examination. The Examination begun Monday, September 3 in all Centres.
Ghana becomes the first in West Africa and third in Africa to conduct licensing examination online for nursing and midwifery trainees.
The examination was conducted simultaneously in three centers across the Country, namely Pantang, Yendi and Ankaful.
Some 375 Registered Mental Nursing (RMN) Candidates took part in the online licensing online examination.
The Minister of Health, Hon. Kweku Agyeman Manu and the Ambassador of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Ron Strikker, accompanied by some officials from the Embassy visited the Council’s Computer lab to witness the conduct of the examination.
The Council’s computer lab hosted 97 candidates from the Nursing Training School, Pantang
The Hon. Minister and the Ambassador briefed the media on the rationale for the online licensing examination.
The Minister emphasized that “the online examination will result in significant cost savings”
