NTC Starts Issuance of Teachers License Nationwide
The National Teaching Council (NTC) informs all teachers that it will commence the nationwide issuance of teachers license and registration number for both public and private school teachers.
This exercise will begin in the Greater Accra Region at the circuit centres from Monday, 17th May, 2021.
The Ministry of Education, the National Teaching Council and the Ghana Education Service will launch the Teacher License and registration programme on Friday 14th May, 2021 at the Minister’s Conference Room (MoE). The Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osie Adutwum will be the guest of honour.
Qualified teachers in the context of the current exercise refer to teachers who have been trained and certified as teachers by accredited colleges and universities that train teachers.
Non-qualified teachers temporary licensing shall follow after registration of qualified teachers. All teachers in the Greater Accra region are required to first register on the NTC portal and also to avail themselves for the licensing at the circuit centres as scheduled.
