How to Check NSS PINCODE 2024/2025

Do not worry, we’ve put together a step-by-step guide on how to check your NSS Pincode online and also purchase your Pincode using MTN Mobile Money.

Using MTN Mobile Money to purchase the National Service Scheme (NSS) Pincode is not a difficult task. All you need to do is to follow this procedure to buy your NSS Pincodes.

Importantly, buying the NSS Pincode with MTN Mobile Money cost GHC 41. Ensure you have up to that amount in your Mobile wallet before proceeding with the purchase. Any payment via mobile not equal to GHC 41 will be reversed.

How to Check NSS PINCODE

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to check your NSS Pincode online.

STEP 1

Check your PINCODE on the NSS Portal: https://portal.nss.gov.gh/check-pin

Enter your Index Number/Student ID number on the field provided and click on the SEARCH button.

STEP 2

Your Personnel Pincode will be displayed on the screen. Please copy it out correctly to be used for MTN Mobile Money payment.

The twelve-digit (12) Pincode will look like this; GMYGCW793418.

STEP 3

On your mobile phone, dial *170#.

STEP 4

From the displayed menu, select option 2, PAY BILLS.

STEP 5

Select Option 6 (GENERAL PAYMENT) from the displayed menu.

STEP 6

Enter the payment code as NSS(space) your Pincode. Example type NSS GMYGCW793418.

STEP 7

Enter your General Payment Details as 41 i.e the amount you’ll be charged from your mobile wallet.

STEP 8

Enter your Reference as NSS.

STEP 9

Enter your Mobile Money Pin and press SEND

STEP 10

You would receive confirmation of your transaction from MTN with an SMS.


STEP 11

You will receive a confirmation SMS from NSS Ghana

You can also confirm your payment by checking your pin again as shown in STEP 1.
