Job Purpose
• To promote the development of an integrated and comprehensive policies for good governance, improved leadership and accountability in the management of educational institutions
Duties and Responsibilities
• Undertake policy research to develop policy options, advice, strategies and plans for good governance, improvement and accountability in the management of educational institutions
• Liaise with other public agencies such as the Audit Service, commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice, Public Sector reforms secretariat to monitor the introduction of management and leadership reforms in the various sectors of education
• Develop guidelines and standards for innovation, improved leadership and corporate governance
• Establish a database for tracking license acquisition and other professional development programs for workers in educational institutions
• Establish a portfolio of plans and projects with the view of addressing special interest and/or inadequacies in schools management, leadership, improved accountability and capacity development
• Initiate the formulation and review of laws and policies based on successful models and best practices for schools management and accountability
Qualification Required & Experience
• Must possess a relevant Master’s Degree with research experience from an accredited tertiary institution
• A minimum of 10 years post qualification relevant working experience
