Microfinance, also called microcredit , is a type of banking service that is provided to unemployed or low-income individuals or groups who otherwise have no other access to financial services.

Job Description

Job Title: Branch Manager

To manage the day to day operations of the Microfinance
To be responsible for delivering budgeted results
To have a well-trained, disciplined and tightly controlled and managed Branch network capable of delivering high quality financial services nationally
To maintain excellent relationship with the Bank of Ghana ensuring that all reports are accurate and delivered on a timely basis
To meet with Senior Management (Operations, Audit, Human Resource, and Accounts) every Monday with emphasis on results and meeting targets
To organize bi-weekly meetings with credit officers to assess performance and set goals
To undertake/carry out any other duties and responsibilities which may be assigned you from time to time to meet the objectives of the Company

Qualification and Requirements

Degree in Business Administration or related area of study
Minimum of 3-5 years of senior management experience, preferably microfinance
Minimum entry qualification for job post is 1st degree

Required Skills and Competencies

Experience in commercial strategic planning, budgeting, control, financial analysis and risk management
A track record of managing a financial institution in a competitive environment
Excellent negotiation, marketing and presentation skills
A working knowledge of financial software and spreadsheets
Knowledge micro, small and medium enterprise market segments in Ghana or similar countries will be an advantage
Proficiency in use of Microsoft office suite
