Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, College of Health Sciences, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Department of Nursing.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into BSc. and Diploma Top-up programmes at the Department of Nursing, College of Health Sciences, KNUST.

KNUST TOP-UP DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES

College of Health Sciences, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Department of Nursing

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants for admission into BSc. Top-up programmes at the following Centres of Excellence.

  1. Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Berekum – BSc. General Nursing and BSc. Midwifery
  2. Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Kumasi – BSc. General Nursing
  3. Midwifery Training School, Bolgatanga – BSc. Midwifery

Entry Requirements

  1. BSc. General Nursing Programme

Applicants must:

  • hold a Diploma in General Nursing with a good pass and have at least TWO (2) years of working experience post National Service Rotation
  • be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council with active PIN/and in good standing
  • have aggregate 24 or better in WASSCE/SSSCE or successfully completed the KNUST ACCESS programme
  1. BSc. Midwifery

Applicants must:

  • hold a Diploma in Midwifery with a good pass and have at least TWO (2) years of working experience post National Service Rotation
  • be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council with active PIN/and in good standing
  • have aggregate 24 or better in WASSCE/SSSCE or successfully completed the KNUST ACCESS programme

Mode of Application

  • Applicants must purchase an e-Voucher at the Ghana Post Company Ltd
  • The e-Voucher contains Login ID or an application ID, and PIN that will grant access to the online admission portal.
  • Applicants should then proceed to the online admissions portal (Here!) and begin the application process.
  • Once the process has been completed, applicants must print out Two (2) copies of the completed online application form together with all relevant documents (Photocopies of Certificates and transcripts) which should be submitted by post (EMS/DHL/UPS/FEDEX) to the Deputy Registrar (Academic Affairs), KNUST, Kumasi.
  • Applicants are to MARK their envelopes with the inscription ‘CENTRES OF EXCELLENCE’.

Application e-voucher cost: GH¢ 220.00

Deadline for the submission of application forms is Friday, 17th April, 2020.

  8. Please,I applied for Bsc Community health nursing since November 2019 and now that you advertised Bsc Genteral nursing and Midwifery without it (Bsc Community health nursing )what is happening. Because I have been granted study leave by my regional directorate to pursue that course.

  13. The admission process at Tamale is down for three days now.I travel six good hours from my village city (Tamale) to buy this Nursing Top admission forms and I am now battling with payments for guesthouse.so please kindly help as.

  15. Why is there any distance top up for nurses, may people have their money to go to school but because of no distance course and also difficult to get study leave they can do anything. Please we need distance for nurses
