Oxford Brookes is offering a number of scholarships across a range of subject areas for UK, EU and international students wishing to undertake full-time taught postgraduate master’s degrees in September 2019.

International students should complete one application form only to be considered for all awards.

John Henry Brookes Scholarships Eligibility

To eligible for scholarship, you must

  • have accepted a place on a full-time master’s course at Oxford Brookes University, i.e. a course leading to an MA, MSc, MBA or LLM. You must be a new full-time master’s student starting your course in September of the 2019/2020 academic year.
  • The scholarship scheme is normally open to UK, EU and International students unless otherwise stated.
  • You should have, or expect to obtain, a good honours degree or equivalent from a recognized institution of higher education, or have experience which demonstrates appropriate knowledge and skills at honours degree standard.
  • Candidates receiving awards from other sources of funding which cover all their tuition fees will not be eligible for a John Henry Brookes Scholarship; eligibility is not affected by funding covering maintenance costs.

Eligible Field of Study: Scholarships are available in the Faculty of Business, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Education, Department of English and Modern Languages, Department of History, Philosophy and Religion, School of Law, Department of Social Sciences, MA International Studies (Environment/Global Political Economy/International Relations/ Security)  OR MSc Primate Conservation

Value of Scholarship

A number of £1,000 to £2,000 awards are open to UK, EU and International students studying a  full-time Masters. Five awards of £1,000 and one award of £2,000 are open to UK, EU or International students across courses in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

To apply for the scholarship, applicants should download the required John Henry Brookes MSc Scholarships application form and notes for guidance from the link below. All applications should be emailed or posted to the address stated on the forms or online for all applications to the Faculty of Technology, Design and Environment.

You should apply for your place on the relevant courses below and then submit your scholarship application. IF YOU APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP WITHOUT THE OFFER OF A PLACE, YOUR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
