The School is seeking an experienced and self-motivated professional to join its management team as: Head of School

• Location: Obuasi
• Job Status: Full-Time

Job Description

• Responsible for growing and managing a first class Britist Curriculum school
• Responsible for the day to day administration of the school
• Responsible for the general supervision of pedagogy
• Maintaining a happier child friendly environment at all times
• Working with a team of professionals to ensure 100% passes with very good distinctions in the Cambridge checkpoint and IGCSE examinations
• Vetting of all teaching notes on a daily/weekly basis
• Responsible for staff appraisal on a trimester basis
• Design and implement an effective continuous professional development (CPD) scheme for all staff
• Serve as a liaison officer with designated stakeholders and agencies like the Ghana Education Service, the British council etc
• Expansion of the school’s client base through effective marketing of WB/AGA schools products and services
• Ensure the sustained integrity of assets including the maintenance of assets assigned to the operations division viz,vehicles, equipment, furniture, uniforms and other school supplies
• Establishing and fostering excellent relations with the school’s clients (Parents and Guardians) at all times
• Undertake other duties from time to time, as may be determined by the Executive Director and/or School Management Board

Qualification Required & Experience

• A trained and certified teacher of the Cambridge/British Curriculum with over 5 years practical experience of teaching the British/Cambridge curriculum
• Must have a professional certificate/degree in education from a recognized institution
• Must possess at least Cambridge/British curriculum related training certificate awarded by the British council or CIE(CAIE)
• Must be very informed and abreast with the standards and international requirements for running a first class British curriculum school
• Master’s degree in Educational Administration/Leadership is an added advantage
• Must be able to speak Twi very fluently
• Should be an excellent team player and leader
• Must be IT savvy, must have practical knowledge of the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, a modern school management software and social media
• Must be ready to deliver on the organisation’s KPI’s and meet reporting time lines
