Qualifications
Applicants should have a relevant university degree or equivalent (at least a master’s level), preferably in economics, finance or accounting. Preference will be given to applicants with a minimum of 10 years of practical experience in a senior line or advisory position within a ministry of finance, international financial institution, development partners, or major consulting firm.
The successful candidate would have broad experience of supporting the implementation of PFM reforms, strong English oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to maintain effective and cooperative relations with national authorities and donors at a senior level, and a willingness to travel extensively. Experience in organizing and conducting training courses and workshops would be desirable. Experience in delivering CD support in developing countries, and work experience in the AFRITAC West 2 region, would also be an advantage.
Note; Candidates not selected for this position may be considered for regional advisor positions in other regions or for FAD short-term expert assignments.
