Job Title: Health and Safety Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the provision of clear consistent, relevant and timely health, safety and welfare advice, guidance and operational support to the company’s on all health & safety manners
  • Undertake audits and workplace inspections of operations to proactively identify where health & safety management practices can be improved and to provide written guidance, where necessary, to assist the company in implementing solutions to enhance its health & safety performance
  • Carry out investigations and report on accidents/incidences and dangerous occurrences as necessary
  • Respond to safety concerns from employees, safety representatives, and members of the public, relating to the activities of the company or its contractors/sub-contractors
  • Liaise with the Health & Safety Manager and other enforcement agencies on all matters pertaining to health & safety at the company
  • Develop and deliver/facilitate training/toolbox talks, on health safety and welfare, matters including, but not limited to, risk assessments, induction, manual handling, abrasive wheels, working at heights, stress, fire etc.
  • Ensure that appropriate training records are maintained
  • Ensure that all contractors/sub-contractors of the company have in place appropriate Health & Safety Plans and to maintain a register of these Plans
  • Advise on the suitability of safety appliances, protective clothing and the safe use of plant and equipment including liaising with suppliers and other stakeholders
  • Liaise with the Risk and Insurance Manager on matters connected with Public/Employee liability claims
  • Work with all Managers to ensure that all properties of the company are safe and fit for purpose
  • Participate in tender evaluation and contractor selection processes in relation to Health & Safety as required, providing on-going advice on the competency of contractors/sub-contractors to undertake works
  • Ensure strict adherence of company’s H, S &W and absolute rules at all times
  • Report and document any incident or accident occurred
  • Follow safety and hazardous instructions before start of work
  • Ensure a clean Environment
  • Ensure presence of Electrical safety equipment on site e.g. Fire buckets, Fire Extinguishers, etc.
  • Liaise with all departments and Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

Minimum of Degree in Occupational Health & Safety with a minimum of 10 years post qualification experience or Diploma in Occupational Health and safety with fifteen (15) years post qualification experience

Job Title: Environmentalist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, strategy and direction in all matters related to environmental management and activities on site.
  • Drive the implementation of corporate environmental standards.
  • Develop a monthly environmental reporting system and take full responsibility for environmental compliance.
  • Manage on-going internal and external environmental audits and in particular, biodiversity audits.
  • Implement Company safety standards and practices in the environmental department.
  • Provide the necessary guidance and advice to production teams in respect of their environmental responsibility, environmental permit and mining license compliance requirements, and help drive environmental performance and industrial best practice across the site.
  • Work with other departments such as community affairs and legal to ensure appropriate solutions to community-related environmental issues.
  • Communicate regularly with the Managing Director, departmental heads and corporate environmental team on environmental performance.
  • Set Key Performance Indicators and environmental targets for continual improvement.
  • Set and monitor the operating budget and controls for the environmental department.
  • Liaise with relevant government authorities on all environmental matters
  • Establish and monitor methods of measurement and tracking in respect of environmental performance and compliance with development consent, permits and licenses. Maintain appropriate records to ensure visibility and transparency. Complete compliance reports on time and to the highest standard.
  • Management of regulatory development consent approvals for existing and new development opportunities.
  • Liaise with all departments and Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of Degree in Environmental Science with a minimum of 10 years post qualification experience.

Job Title: Chartered Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
  • Report to management regarding the finances of establishment.
  • Establish tables of accounts, and assign entries to proper accounts.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
  • Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
  • Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel, and direct their work activities.
  • Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
  • Work as Internal Revenue Service agents.
  • Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
  • Provide internal and external auditing services for businesses and individuals.
  • Advise clients in areas such as compensation, employee health care benefits, the design of accounting and data processing systems, and long-range tax and estate plans.
  • Investigate bankruptcies and other complex financial transactions and prepare reports summarizing the findings.
  • Represent clients before taxing authorities and provide support during litigation involving financial issues.
  • Appraise, evaluate, and inventory real property and equipment, recording information such as the property’s description, value, and location.
  • Maintain and examine the records of government agencies.
  • Liaise with all departments and other duties may be assigned.

Qualification

CA (Ghana), ACCA, ACMA with not less than five (5) years post qualification experience.

Job Title: Human Resource Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine staffing numbers, skills and needs to meet the company’s objectives.
  • Analyze the skills and qualities required for each particular job and develop job descriptions and duty statements.
  • Advertise staff vacancies, assess applications, interview applicants, administer selection tests, prepare reports and make recommendations to management about staff appointments.
  • Maintain the personal records of employees on matters such as wages, superannuation, leave and training, and prepare associated management reports.
  • Arrange and conduct staff training.
  • Use a number of management information systems to record, maintain, plan and manage the company’s human resources.
  • Provide advice and information to management and employees on human resource policies and procedures, including equal opportunity, anti-discrimination and occupational health and safety programs.
  • Assist employees with work matters, career development, personal problems and industrial matters.
  • Organize employee welfare services such as health and wellbeing programs, first aid and fire warden training, superannuation and social activities.
  • Take part in enterprise bargaining talks where employees, management and unions discuss the development of specific work arrangements and conditions (pay and hours of work, for example).
  • Help implement organizational changes (such as those following from industrial relations legislation, revised job classification structures or technological changes).
  • Take part in strategic management.

Qualification

Minimum of Degree in Human Resource Management with five (5) years post qualification experience.

Job Title: Maintenance Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule maintenance of all machines.
  • Conduct and record pre-start checks of machines prior to use.
  • Preventive maintenance – essential care and condition monitoring.
  • The root cause of problem identification and elimination.
  • Reliability-based spare parts management.
  • To establish maintenance database of each machine.
  • Maintenance cost of each machine
  • Other works that will be assigned.
  • Coordinate production schedules with maintenance work.
  • Manage and/or supervise maintenance.
  • Present daily, weekly and monthly reports to management.
  • Liaise with all departments and Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of HND (Automobile Engineering) with minimum of 5 years working experience or MET III or MVT III with minimum of 10 years working experience.

Job Title: Heavy Duty Mechanic

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
  • Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment in order to diagnose defects.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
  • Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
  • Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometres and gauges.
  • Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment, and keep equipment service records.
  • Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
  • Assemble gear systems, and align frames and gears.
  • Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Weld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering tools.
  • Clean parts by spraying them with grease solvent or immersing them in tanks of solvent.
  • Adjust, maintain, and repair or replace subassemblies, such as transmissions and crawler heads, using hand tools, jacks, and cranes.
  • Adjust and maintain industrial machinery, using control and regulating devices.
  • Fabricate needed parts or items from sheet metal.
  • Direct workers who are assembling or disassembling equipment or cleaning parts.
  • Liaise with all departments and other duties may be assigned

Qualification

Minimum of five (5) years experience in heavy-duty machines repairs and maintenance especially Chinese machines.

Job Title: Auto Electrician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of varied electrical systems on a diverse range of plant equipment and vehicles
  • Overhaul of various starter motors and alternators on a diverse range of plant equipment and vehicles
  • Battery storage, handling and maintenance.
  • Electronic circuit board diagnosis and repair.
  • Stock control of the electrical service section.
  • Electrical schematic plan modifications.
  • Ensuring the safe working environment of the auto electrical work area
  • Liaise with all departments and other duties may be assigned

Qualification

Minimum of five (5) years experience in heavy-duty machines electrical repairs and maintenance especially Chinese machines

Job Title: Hydraulic Technician / Mechanic

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review schematics, plans, operating manuals
  • Inspect, test and maintain hydraulic systems periodically or according to the established schedule
  • Identify nature and causes of defects or malfunctions in lines or other parts of the system using diagnostic machines and consulting with operating manuals
  • Overhaul and repair hydraulic components
  • Fit fluid lines and pipes
  • Assemble and disassemble parts and systems
  • Clean and lubricate parts
  • Record condition of hydraulic systems, including malfunctions observed, and repairs
  • Liaise with all departments and other duties may be assigned

Qualification

Minimum of five (5) years experience in hydraulic repairs and maintenance especially Chinese machines

Job Title: Excavator Operators

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the successful completion of construction and engineering work
  • Operate the excavator.
  • Operate the excavator in the right direction and angles to prevent accidents and damage of property.
  • Ensure and manage the excavator in a safe and secure way.
  • Perform periodical safety, maintenance or servicing checks to ensure the proper functioning of the excavator.
  • Perform minor repair works during functioning problems
  • Perform road work, excavation work, lifting work, etc.
  • Respond to signals and directions by the staff and work in coordination with them
  • Operate the excavator manually and also through the use of electronic or technical methods of operation.
  • Work in adherence to safe practices, procedures, and work site or traffic laws.
  • Maintain a database in the computer to record daily activities, inventory chart, etc.
  • Report to the senior operation manager
  • Liaise with all departments and other duties may be assigned

Qualification

A minimum of five (5) years experience in excavator operating and a minimum of “E” Ghanaian Driving Licence

Job Title: Electrical Instrumentalist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, test, adjust, and repair electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems used to indicate, record, and control generating operations in conventional or nuclear power electric generating plant: Inspects meters, indicators, and gauges to detect abnormal fluctuations.
  • Test accuracy of flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, radiation counters or detectors, and other recording, indicating or controlling instruments to locate defective components in system, using test equipment, such as pressure gauges, mercury manometers, potentiometers, pulse and signal generators, oscilloscopes, transistor curve tracers, and ammeters, voltmeters, and watt meters.
  • Trace out and test electronic solid state and vacuum tube circuitry and components to locate defective parts in analogue and digital, protection, or radiation monitoring systems, using test equipment, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
  • Remove defective instruments from system, decontaminate, disassemble, and clean instruments, and replace defective parts, using hand tools.
  • Reassemble instruments and replace instruments in system, using hand tools.
  • Lubricate instruments and replace defective wiring and tubing.
  • Calibrate readings on instruments according to standards and adjusts phasing and aligns stages to ensure accuracy of recording and indicating function.
  • Record calibrations made, parts and components used, and inventory of parts on hand.
  • Prepare schematic drawings, sketches, and reports to reflect changes or alterations made in instruments, circuits, and systems.
  • May be designated according to type power plant as Nuclear-Plant-Instrument Technician; Instrument Repairer, Steam Plant.
  • Liaise with all departments and other duties may be assigned

Qualification

Minimum Degree in Electrical Engineering with ten (10) years post qualification experience

Job Title: Fabricator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints
  • Mig welding plate and pipe
  • Perform a wide variety of jigging of assemblies
  • Set up welding machine within correct parameters
  • Fit parts with within tight tolerances
  • Accurately clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind and or bolt to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
  • Inspect and examine work pieces for defects to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Solve obstacles related to the particular job he/she is running
  • Operate hand and power tools efficiently
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Accurately document direct and indirect labor accountability
  • Expedite all parts throughout the plant as necessary to meet production goals
  • Liaise with all departments and Other duties may be assigned

Qualification

Minimum of five (5) years experience in welding and fabricating.
