GNFS Officer Cadet Selection Examination Schedule 2025
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) officer cadet selection examination schedule, date, and details for 2015 have been announced.
In order to clear the backlog of Junior Officers in the Service who are due to be promoted, the Ghana National Fire Service is giving a chance for them to write an examination according to the Conditions of Service to screen them for Officer Cadet Course. Those who are successful will be promoted to the Senior Rank of Assistant Division Officer Grade Two (ADOII).
This exercise is being done based on the number of years served on their ranks in order to maintain seniority.
The requirements for the selections are as follows:
- Station/Group Officer I (STNO I/GOI) who have been on their ranks for thirteen (13) years and above without tertiary certificate.
- Station/Group Officers I (STNOI/GOI) with tertiary certificate.
Below is a Time Table drawn for the activities:
S/NO. | MONTH | ACTIVITY |
1. | APRIL | Invitation and screening of certificates |
2. | MAY | Conduct examination |
3. | MAY | Release Examination Results |
4. | JUNE | Officer Cadet Training for STNO/GOI (13 years plus) |
5. | JULY | Officer Cadets (on attachment) start training |
6. | AUGUST | STNOs/GOs with tertiary certificate join Officer Cadets (on attachment) to train and graduate. |
However, Assistant Station/Deputy Group Officers (ASTNOs/DGOs) with tertiary certificate would be sorted out after their seniors.
Management entreats all affected Officers to exercise restraint while they carry out this exercise systematically.
This proposal is subject to the approval of the Ghana National Fire Service Council.
