Ghana Scholarship Secretariat Shortlisted Candidates 2021

The Ghana Scholarship Secretariat list of successful candidates for the 2020/2021 academic year has been released.

The Authorities of the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat has released the list of successful and shortlisted candidates who have been awarded scholarships into different higher institutions for the 2020/2021 academic year.

Successful candidates should note that the attached list contains applicants who applied for the scholarship through their district and forms part of Batch 1 list of validated students who have been paid.

The scholarship covers ONLY tuition fees for the 2020/2021 academic year and valid for ONLY one academic year, subject to renewal.

Awardees are to note that the scholarship is liable to termination in the event of the following conditions.

a. Misconduct

b. Unsatisfactory progress in your studies

c. Failure to pass any prescribed examination

Referencing the conditions above, you are respectfully required to issue award letters tp the applicants strictly indicating tuition fee amounts in the attached list.

Local Tertiary Scholarships Award

Requirements

A. Applicants are to take note of the following;

  • i. Should have gained admission into a local tertiary institution
  • ii. Should have registered and enrolled to undertake the course
  • iii. The Institution should be accredited by the National Accreditation Board (NAB)
  • iv. Categories of Local Tertiary Institutions (Private and Public)
  • v. Nurses/Teacher Training Colleges
    • Colleges of Agriculture
    • Polytechnics
    • Technical Universities
    • Universities
    • Certificate awarding tertiary institutions

B. Continuing students should apply online between 1St April – 15Th May of each academic year.

C. New students who had late admission should apply between 1st – 30th September of each academic year

D. Applicants will undertake an online aptitude test during the application process.

E. Appear before a panel for interviews in your selected district

F. The information of the applicant will be forwarded to the institutions of the applicant for confirmation and validation.

G. Electronic award letters will be issued to the successful applicants by the Scholarships Secretariat.

H. Payment of scholarship entitlements to respective institutions

  2. Please I tried applying for the scholarship today but it says application for local students is closed, but is on your site that continue students should apply from 1st April to 15th May. So I’m confused and don’t know what to do again. Please help me

      1. Please I applied for the 2020/2021 Ghana Scholarship, but the fund came later in June 2021 after paying my fees. Though my scholarship is in, my name is in neither the first nor second batch of list that came in. My dashboard scholarship status also shows as granted. Please help me

Please we beg you to release the second batch list as soon as possible because we’re starting end of semester examination next week which is 26th of this month and we going to denied from writing just because we trusted you guys and thought you would help us but not knowing that you are going to deceive us any our career is now at danger

  5. Im not sure there will be a second batch list. You should be sincere to us that there wont be any other batches . The semester is about ending and we’ve heard nothing.

I think it’s a camouflage for ghanaians to witness the goodness of their era..I suggest you guys should publish an article indicating students awaiting for the release of the second batch list should make payment of their fees before it’s of late..
