We are recruiting to fill the following position below:

Job Title: President

Requirements

• Must be a Professor of high repute
• Must be of stature and integrity with exemplary leadership, excellent interpersonal and communication skits with the energy and capacity for mobilizing the needed resources for the achievement of the university’s mission and vision.

Applicants must also show evidence of the following qualities.

• Demonstrate capacity to manage a university;
• Ability to foster and promote good internal and external relations of the university;
• Ability to project effectively the image of the university internally and externally;
• Proven capacity to provide strong, visionary leadership and innovation;
• Must be an internationally acclaimed academic and a distinguished scholar;
• Must have a proven capacity to motivate, manage, and direct faculty and staff;
• Must exhibit a high sense of industry, leadership .,:; alit &z and organ; national
• Must be transparent, firm, and above reproach;
• Proven ability to manage crises;
• Must be a visionary, business-oriented, and be able to establish rapport between industry and the university for a common purpose

Terms of Appointment

These will be determined by the Governing Council consistent with the statutes of the university college.

The President shall hold office for an initial term of four (4) years. The appointment may be renewed upon application for a period determined by the Governing Council. Applicant should not be more than 85 years by July. 2021.

Experience

• Applicants must have considerable teaching and research experience in the relevant area of specialization in any reputable university or a comparable institution and a commitment to excellent teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
