Contents
Job Title: Quality Assurance Director
Responsibilities
• Ensure the Integrity of Academic awards of the University College
• Maintain and improve academic standards and quality of education and service delivery (Evaluation of Lecturers, programmes, facilities, resources etc)
• Develop, maintain and improve through enhanced support processes, quality academic programmes appropriate to the academic strengths of the University college
• Ensure that all programmes are of a high standard and of continued relevance to the labour market and demands of the country
• Regularly enhance and improve internal support services provided to staff and students
• Develop and improve appropriate internal mechanism applicable to academic programmes and services rendered to staff, students and other stakeholders of the University college
• Develop, sustain and enhance a culture of quality assurance among the staff of the University College
• Provide data or information about the University college to external and internal bodies including NAB, NCTE, etc
• Coordinate examination audit of the University College
Qualifications
• Proven strong strategic leadership track record
• Must be at least a Senior Lecturer. A PhD and a professional status will be an advantage
Job Title: Vice-President
Responsibilities
• Oversee academic planning, programme review and curriculum development
• Supervise the deans of the schools and faculties and the director of the library, evaluating and approving recommendations for President’s approval
• Liaise with the National Accreditation Board on new programme / re-accreditation of the University College and its programmes
• Maintain liaison with affiliates of the University College on academic performance and further develop a strategic partnership that will bring lasting value and networks to enhance teaching and research
• Provide leadership in creating and maintaining academic standards and policies in the University College
Qualifications
• Proven strong strategic leadership track record
• Must be at least a Senior Lecturer’s status with a PhD. The professorial status will be an advantage
• Must have at least 10 years working experience in a tertiary institution or academic-related institution of which 5 years should have been in a leadership position
• Must have credible scholarly credentials in teaching, research and publication
• Must exhibit a high sense of work ethics and diligence
• Must have proven capacity to motivate and inspire staff and students
