Job Description

Job Title: Database Manager

Job Summary
• Supports the monitoring & evaluation system of the programme
• Collects, analyses and presents program performance data
• Tests and maintains the project’s M&E database
• Prepares monitoring plans and defines program indicators

Qualification Required & Experience
• Secondary school completion (minimum) or a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Community Health, Sociology or other relevant field and professional database management experience
• High level of computer literacy and proficiency in statistical software.

Job Title: Information, Education & Communications (IEC) Manager

Job Summary

• Oversees community mobilization and public communication initiatives before and during spray operations, taking the lead in development od and implementation of IEC/BCC strategies for the IRS program
• Conducting community mobilisation, awareness and sensitization on IRS in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
• Evaluating and documenting the impact of IEC/BCC activities and materials in collaboration with other stakeholders through lessons learnt and success stories

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Communications, Public Health, Community Health, Environmental Studies, or other relevant field.

Job Title: Insectary Technician

Job Summary

• Responsible for timely and high-quality field entomological work and will assist the entomology laboratory coordinator with managing the insectary and laboratory
• Cares for the mosquito colony maintained in the insectary
• Ensures that required supplies and equipment are in stock and organized
• Enters insectary records into the laboratory log books

Qualification Required & Experience

• Secondary School completion (minimum) or a Diploma / Degree in Laboratory, Biochemistry, Veterinary Health or other relevant field and laboratory or veterinary experience.
• Basic computer skills

Job Summary

• Responsible for timely and high quality field entomological work and will assist the entomology laboratory coordinator with managing the insectary and laboratory
• Support entomological field activities
• Adhere to the standard operational procedures for these activities

• Secondary School (Diploma A2) or Bachelor’s Degree (desirable), in bio-chemistry, laboratory, veterinary or other related health field
• At least 1 year of experience in laboratory or veterinary work

Job Summary

• Provides leadership and management oversight of all of the project’s entomological surveillance activities.
• Guides key project and country-level IRS decisions based on data analysis and interpretation
• Leads the development of entomological monitoring plans

• Masters Degree in Entomology, environmental health, public health, or related fields
• Significant experience in vector control, IRS operations and the regulatory and operational aspects of insecticide use.

Job Summary

• Provide overall organizational and logistical management for the project’s IRS operations, Oversees the management of warehouses and stores, community mobilization, data management, public communication initiatives, and the planning and execution of spray operations
• coordinates training-of-trainer (TOT) courses and the training’s of the different categories of spray personnel

Qualification Required & Experience

• Masters Degree in Public Health or Environmental Health or related field and experience in operations management of development programs, with significant experience in vector control programs.
• USAID project experience highly desirable

Job Title: District Coordinator

Job Summary

• Performs programmatic and management oversight for all aspects of the project’s spray operations, including campaign planning, technical assistance and training, logistical and operational support and supervision and activity tracking and reporting
• S/he will coordinate closely with government counterparts and oversee the activities of project field staff and seasonal spray teams

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public or Community Health, Environmental Health, Entomology or other relevant field and 3+ years of experience in vector control and IRS.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory and operational aspects of insecticide use and management.

Job Title: Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Manager

Job Summary

• Focuses on the management of the data collection systems for IRS delivery, and the aggregation of all programmatic data, including but not limited to associated training, entomological and environmental compliance data
• Establish and support routine M&E systems to support tracking of IRS program activities, progress and performance
• Support programmatic monitoring efforts through preparation of regular reports, aggregating spray data from dispersed spray teams.
• Design and facilitate training’s for national and district level IRS staff on the project’s M&E system and the use of the M&E data collection and supervisory forms

Qualification Required & Experience

• Degree in a relevant health sector field such as environmental health, public health or community health
• Experience in MS Access, GIS applications and GPS measurement data collection desirable
• Experience and familiarity with USAID M&E and performance monitoring.
• Strong analytic and quantitative database management skills, budgeting and report writing.

Job Summary

• operates and maintains project vehicles to meet the transportation needs of the program
• Follows schedule to routine vehicle maintenance
• Keeps detailed records of vehicle movements and maintenance performed
• Supports the project offce by performing general serice tasks, repairs, deliveries, etc

Qualification Required & Experience

• Secondary School (desirable), a valid driver’s license and at least 1 year of commercial driving
experience
• Automotive mechanics expertise

Job Title: Environmental Compliance Officer

Job Summary

• Responsible for overseeing programme compliance with United States government (USG) and local environmental regulations and program adherence to requirements as laid out in USAID programmatic and supplemental environmental assessments and pesticide evaluation report and its amendments and compliance with the PMI IRS Best Management Practices Manual
• Ensures environmental compliance pof spray operations and the storage and transport of insecticides

Qualification Required & Experience

• Masters Degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, or other relevant field
• 2 years of successful training and coaching experience in a field environment
