Responsibilities

Architect data pipelines to transform and validate data.
Maintain data quality and integrity across our systems.
Assist in data governance processes, planning, security and execution.
Implement the appropriate infrastructure, tools and resources, from data collection to insights visualization.
Implement self-service and automation tools catered towards differing skill levels in the organization.

Qualifications

Demonstrated strength in data modelling, ETL development, and data warehousing.
Extensive experience writing complex, highly-optimized queries across large data sets using SQL, Postgres, MySQL, or something similar.
Strong experience in Python or similar languages.
Experience with various AWS services including RDS, S3, EMR and RDS.
Experience consuming and cleansing data from third-party APIs and other sources.
Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hive, Hadoop, or Spark.
Experience with end-to-end Mobile and Web data analysis environments like Google Analytics.
English proficiency; written and spoken.

Skills & Experience

Experience working in a startup environment.
Familiarity with our technologies: Redshift, Tableau, Metabase, QlikView
Prior experience building educational apps.
