Tullow Oil is a leading independent oil and gas exploration and production company primarily focused on Africa and South America with a portfolio of 90 licenses across 16 countries.
Since 2006, Tullow has had interests in two licenses in offshore Ghana. In 2008, Tullow was appointed as the Jubilee Field Operator and, working with its joint venture partners and the Government of Ghana, went on to achieve first oil in November 2010. The Jubilee field has become Tullow’s key asset generating significant high-margin oil production. Tullow’s second major discovery and subsequent development in Ghana is the TEN fields where first oil was successfully achieved on time and on budget in August 2016.
Job Title: HR Coordinator
The Successful Candidate
Reporting to the Lead HRBP, you will be responsible for providing efficient administrative and operational HR support to the HR Business Partnering Teams and all managers/employees across the group, where they are unable to self-serve, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through the provision of a responsive, timely and proactive service. You will be the first point of contact to employees and line managers providing information, advice and guidance on all HR related day-to-day matters. You will be responsible for the accuracy of our people data on all our systems. Finally, as a passionate and developing HR professional, you will show initiative, adding value to our HR strategy and in return you will get exposure to a wide variety of HR activities and the opportunity to be involved in exciting projects.
Skills
Ideally you will be degree qualified in HR or another related field and have previous experience of working within a HR team. You be able to demonstrate an understanding and application of HR services, policies, practices and disciplines. You will be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:
- Excellent written, oral, and oral communication skills.
- Highly proficient MS Office skills, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Able to analyse and present information clearly and concisely
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong customer service orientation
- Comfortable communicating, engaging and collaborating across all levels in the business
- Previous exposure to HRIS, project management desirable
- Ability to handle high volume of activity and meet tight deadlines
- Professional approach to work and customers
- Reliable in delivering quality solutions/ work products
- Respect employee confidentiality
- Act in accordance with Data Protection Laws
