Requirement for Upgrading into Nursing Programmes in Ghana.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council has released the Official requirements for upgrading into various Educational Levels in Nursing Education.

A practitioner who studied Nurse Assistant Preventive (NAP) and wishes to upgrade to Diploma in Registered Community Nursing (RCN) after the access course would start from the second year upon entry but with the degree you will start from level 100/200 upon entry depending on the institution’s admission requirements.

A practitioner who studied Nurse Assistant Clinical (NAC) and desires to upgrade to Diploma in Registered General Nursing (RGN) after the access course would start from the second year upon entry but with the degree you will start from level 100/200 upon entry depending on the institution’s admission requirements.

A practitioner who studied Nurse Assistant Preventive (NAP) and wants to upgrade to Diploma in RGN would start from first year.

Nurse Assistant Clinical (NAC) and Nurse Assistant Preventive (NAP) who wish to upgrade to Diploma in Registered Mental Nursing (RMN) would start from first year upon entry.
