If you have lost your voters card and thinking of how to get a replacement, don’t worry, we’ll show you the process. However, this is possible following the resumption of replacement of lost voters card by the Electoral Commission of Ghana.

According to a press release, the Electoral Commission of Ghana wishes to inform the general public that it would resume the replacement of lost voters ID cards in all district offices nationwide from Thursday 8 of August 2019.

The replacement of lost Voters ID Card was suspended to enable the Commission concentrate on the 2019 Limited Voters Registration Exercise.

How to Apply for Replacement of Lost Voters ID Card

To replace a lost voters ID card, an applicant will be required to pay a replacement fee of Five Ghana Cedis (GHC 5.00). Fees are to be paid into the Commissions Bank Account and the Payslip submitted to the district office where the initial registration took place.

Fees may be paid at any branch of GCB nationwide.
