An international NGO requires the services of an experienced consultant to act as Programme Manager in Kumasi Ghana to deliver the following services:
Job Description
Job Title: Programme Manager Consultant
Facilitate the implementation of high quality programme work in Ghana:
Supports the development of programme work in Ghana.
Supervise the implementation of the Orbis programme at the Ghana Vision Institute, together with the partner.
Prepares relevant documentation for project development, including implementation plans, workplans and activity budgets, concept papers, project plans and the like.
Supports the implementation of the Ghana project workplan activities on time and within budget.
Represent Orbis at selected meetings in Ghana, take minutes and provide feedback.
Prepares reports inclusive of the quarterly project reports.
Facilitate and co-ordinate quality routine M&E activities for the project, including:
Contributing to development of routine data collection tools and protocols.
Ensuring data is collected and received in a timely manner.
Support and coordinate project baselines, assessments and evaluations.
Conduct regular monitoring visits to partners and sites of project implementation, including conducting data quality audits.
Collating and analyzing data for reporting on a quarterly basis; including completion of case studies
Updating and maintaining project databases;
Systematic filing and record keeping.
Support and coordinate administrative and logistics for quality program implementation:
Manage and prepare logistics for activities such as trainings and workshops and travel arrangements.
Ensure adequate systems for reporting in compliance of the requirements for programme in the region, including financial reporting.
Consultancy Fee range of 4,500 – 5,700 Ghana cedi’s per month (Commensurate with experience), gross inclusive of tax, for full time work towards the above activities.
Essential Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, or related subject.
2 years’ relevant work experience, including experience project management, data collection and reporting in health programmes.
Knowledge and understanding of development issues, and working on donor-funded projects.
Strong computer skills and good working knowledge of MS Office applications, including knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages.
Report writing skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Flexible and proactive, with problem solving skills.
Oral and written fluency in English and local Ghanaian language(s)
Willingness and availability to travel in-country, up to 50%.
