Applications for Appointments at the School of Veterinary Medicine
The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST) invites applications from qualified persons for appointment as Professors, Associate Professors, Senior Lecturers, Lecturers and Assistant Lecturers in the Departments of Anatomy and Physiology, Clinical Studies and Pathobiology at the School of Veterinary Medicine.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
In all the positions, applicants must possess a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) qualification from a recognized institution.
- Professor
For appointment to the grade of Professor, the applicant must have a Ph.D. in Anatomy Pathology or Surgery from a recognized University and must have served as Associate Professor or analogous grade, in a recognized institution for a minimum of THREE years. Applicants must have a minimum of ten (10) publications in high-impact journals.
- Associate Professor
For appointment to the grade of Associate Professor, the applicant must have a Ph.D. in Anatomy or Pathology or Surgery from a recognized University and must have served as Senior Lecturer or analogous grade in a recognized institution for a minimum of FOUR years. Applicants must have a minimum of eight (8) publications in high-impact journals.
- Senior Lecturer
For appointment to the grade of Senior Lecturer, the applicant must have a Ph.D. in Anatomy or Pathology or Surgery from a recognized University and must have served as Lecturer or analogous grade in a recognized institution for a minimum of FOUR years. Applicants must have a minimum of six (6) publications in high-impact journals.
- Lecturer
For appointment to the grade of Lecturer, applicants must have a Ph.D. in Anatomy Pathology or Surgery from a recognised University. Additionally, applicants must possess the relevant teaching, research or other experience relevant to this position.
- Assistant Lecturer
For appointment to the grade of Assistant Lecturer, applicants must possess a Research Master’s Degree in Anatomy or Pathology, or Surgery from a recognized University. Additionally, applicants must possess the relevant teaching, research, or other experience relevant to this position.

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST) invites applications from qualified persons for appointment as Professors, Associate Professors, Senior Lecturers, Lecturers, and Assistant Lecturers in the under-listed Departments at its Obuasi Campus:
- Mathematics:Â Two positions. Expertise – Applied Mathematics
- English:Â Two positions. Expertise – English (Language and Literature)
- Geological Engineering:Â One position. Expertise – Engineering Geology and Mine Geotechnics
- Mechanical Engineering:Â One position. Expertise – Design and Manufacturing and/or Applied Mechanics
- Materials Engineering:Â One position. Expertise – Physical and Extractive Metallurgy
- Civil Engineering: One position. Expertise – Geotechnical and /or Structural Engineering with at least five (5) years of industrial experience.

For appointment to the grade of Senior Lecturer, the applicant must have a Ph.D. in the area of expertise from a recognized University and must have served as Lecturer or analogous grade in a recognized institution for a minimum of FOUR years. Applicants must have a minimum of six (6) publications in high-impact journals.
- LECTURER
For appointment to the grade of Lecturer, applicants must have a Ph.D. in the area of expertise from a recognized University. Additionally, applicants must possess the relevant teaching, research, or other experience relevant to this position.
- ASSISTANT LECTURER
For appointment to the grade of Assistant Lecturer, applicants must possess a Research Master’s Degree in the area of expertise from a recognized University. Additionally, applicants must possess the relevant teaching, research, or other experience relevant to this position.
Note: Successful applicants will be stationed at the Obuasi Campus of the University.

Applications for Appointment as Project Accountant at RWESCK
Regional Water and Environmental Sanitation Centre Kumasi, College of Engineering, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Kumasi.
Applications are invited from qualified persons for appointment as Project Accountants at the Regional Water and Environmental Sanitation Centre Kumasi (RWESCK) Project at the College of Engineering, KNUST.
Job Type: The contract is for 4 years
Date for commencement of work:Â As soon as practicable

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Accounting & Finance
- Membership of Professional Accountancy body (ICAG, ACCA, CIMA)
- Computer literate with at least two years of experience in project accounting
- Knowledge and experience in accounting and financial management practices
- Advanced working knowledge of performance measurements and quality service principles to ensure delivery of capital projects accounting services to meet established standards
- Working knowledge of University accounting, payroll, personnel, material management policies and procedures
- Must have excellent communication and writing skills in English
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
RESPONSIBILITIES OF PROJECT ACCOUNTANT
- Keep all financial records on the project
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports to the funding Agency
- Preparation of payment vouchers in accordance with project requirement
- Prepare returns on all advanced funds and expenses
- Assist with procurement in accordance with project requirements
- Preparation of monthly bank reconciliation statement,
- Keeping of project asset register
- Preparation of budget and budgetary controls to assist management in decision-making
- Prepare annual audited accounts and publish them on the Centre’s website
- Provide sound financial management and engage with students, researchers, and partners for the smooth running of project activities
- Coordinate with the project manager and monitoring and evaluation personnel to provide advice on project risk (financial health)
- Link up with the Office of Grants and Research (OGR) and provide relevant project financial information to the Grants Accounts Management System (GAMS)
- Provide advice on priorities for the achievement of project deliverables
- Provide general assistance to the Centre Leader
