Junior High Schools Academic Calendar 2024
JHS Academic Calendar 2024 | The Junior High Schools academic calendar for the 2023–2024 academic calendar has been released by the Ghana Education Service (GES).
The Authorities of the Ghaha Education Service (GES) has directed all basic schools, comprising kindergarten, primary and junior high schools in the country, to strictly adhere to the calendar for the 2023–2024 academic year.
GES Academic Calendar for Basic Schools
According to the KG, primary and JHS academic schools are to re-open on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023. All students will spend 20 weeks each per semester to complete the session.
FIRST TERM (JHS 3, KG – JHS 2)
- 3rd October 2023 to 22nd December 2023
SECOND TERM (JHS 3, KG – JHS 2)
- 9th January 2024 to 11th April 2024
THIRD TERM (JHS 3)
- 30th April 2024
THIRD TERM (KG – JHS 2)
- 30th April 2024 – 25th July 2024
Vacation Dates
The KG, primary, and JHS students are to vacate school on December 23, 2023, and return on January 8, 2024, for the first term break.
First-Term Vacation
- 23rd December 2023 to 8th January 2024
Second-Term Vacation
- 12th April 2024 to 29th April 2024.
Third-Term Vacation
- 25th July 2024
