Ghana Colleges of Education Fees for the 2024/2025 Academic Year have been released online.
The Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) has officially released the provisional fees structure for continuing students in all public Colleges of Education across the country for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The new fees schedule applies to students in Levels 200, 300, and 400, and is designed to promote transparency, consistency, and fairness in fee administration across all public Colleges of Education in the country.
Breakdown of Approved Fees for 2025/2026 Academic Year
For the 2025/2026 academic year, continuing students in public Colleges of Education are expected to pay the following approved charges:
- Admission, Registration and Orientation: Each student at Levels 200, 300, and 400 is required to pay GH¢38.26 for admission, registration, and orientation activities.
- Academic and Professional Training Fees: Levels 200 and 300 students will each pay GH¢1,090.05, while Level 400 students will pay GH¢839.12.
- Health and Sanitation Charges: Students in Levels 200 and 300 will pay GH¢160.26, whereas Level 400 students will pay GH¢60.26.
- Other Charges (Including SRC Dues and Reprographic Fees): These amount to GH¢884.03 for Levels 200 and 300, and GH¢594.01 for Level 400.
The total subtotal payable before additional charges stands at:
- GH¢2,172.60 for both Level 200 and Level 300 students, and
- GH¢1,531.65 for Level 400 students.
Additional Fees and Important Notes for Continuing Students
Beyond the above charges, PRINCOF has provided further information and guidelines for all continuing students in the Colleges of Education for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Feeding Fees
Feeding fees are fully covered by the Government of Ghana through the teacher trainee allowance and will be paid directly to the Colleges of Education. Continuing students are therefore not required to pay feeding fees.
Examination Fees
Each continuing student is expected to pay an average examination fee of GH¢1,060.00 per academic year. This fee covers assessments, examinations, and related administrative services provided by the Colleges of Education.
Residential Fees
Students who choose to reside on campus will pay a residential fee of GH¢1,000.00 per annum. This covers accommodation and maintenance for the academic year.
Digital Resource Fee
To enhance digital learning, each continuing student is required to pay a Digital Resource Fee of GH¢600.00 per year. This fee supports access to online learning platforms, e-libraries, and other digital resources essential for teaching and learning.
TTAG Project Levy
The Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) has introduced a Project Levy of GH¢30.00 per student per year. This contribution helps fund national projects and initiatives undertaken by TTAG to improve teacher education in Ghana.
Institution-Specific Fees
PRINCOF has also emphasized that individual Colleges of Education may include additional GTEC-approved fees specific to their institutions. These could cover facility maintenance, utilities, or other campus-specific costs.
As such, students are advised to await official communication from their respective colleges for the exact total amount payable for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Payment Requirements and Deadlines
To ensure smooth academic operations, PRINCOF has directed that all continuing students must pay at least 70% of their total fees — including the subtotal and any additional institutional charges — before the commencement of the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year.
Students are encouraged to make payments early to avoid registration issues or academic delays.
