Job Title: Power Sector Analyst

Programme Details

Deloitte is leading a power sector transformation programme which has been established by a development agency to support reform within Ghana’s power sector. The objective of programme is to expand the supply of and access to affordable and reliable grid-connected electricity services in West Africa through a range of technical assistance, capacity building, and transactional support to advance Power Africa’s objectives in selected countries in West Africa region.

Job Description

Direct Report: Chief of Party

The Power Sector Analyst will be responsible for supporting the programmes technical team and project leadership with a variety of activities including quantitative and qualitative analysis, research, development of presentations and deliverables, and other ad hoc requests.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis and research in support of the activities of the programme
  • Develop presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint to be delivered by program leadership to diverse audiences including regional government officials, and other stakeholders
  • Support development of high-quality deliverables and reports including by conducting research, drafting content, visualizing data, and managing the production of deliverables
  • Assist with stakeholder consultations and other meetings including scheduling, developing agendas, preparing materials, and taking and distributing meeting notes

Qualifications

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc., B.A., B.Eng./B. Tech., etc.)
  • Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 6 years cognate experience

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated experience conducting analytical work within the energy sector in West Africa
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent facilitation skills
  • Excellent coordination skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required
  • Ability to respond on short notice and plan and execute several activities at once
  • Ability to work under pressure, as part of a team or independently, and meet deadlines consistently
