The management of the University for Development Studies (UDS) has released the admission application forms for the Bachelor of Science in Paediatric Nursing Programme for the 2024/2025 academic year.

UDS BSc Nursing and Midwifery Admission Forms Eligibility

Bachelor of Science (BSc) General Nursing

Applicants to the 2-year Bachelor of Science (BSc) in General Nursing Programme must be Registered Nurses with a Diploma and in good standing with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana. Candidates must have at least three (3) years post post-registration work experience. International applicants must show evidence of registration with their home Professional Regulatory Bodies. Applicants from non-English speaking countries must also show evidence of English Language proficiency.

Closing date for applications: June 30, 2023

Interviews are to be conducted in July 2023.

Options for study: Modular/Sandwich/Weekend.

Bachelor of Science (BSc) Midwifery

Applicants to the 2-year Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Midwifery Programme must be Registered Midwives with a Diploma and in good standing with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana. Candidates must have at least three (3) years post post-registration work experience. International applicants must show evidence of registration with their home Professional Regulatory Bodies. Applicants from non-English speaking countries must also show evidence of English Language proficiency.

Options for study: Modular/Sandwich/Weekend.

International applicants must show evidence of registration with their home Professional Regulatory Bodies. Applicants from non-English speaking countries must also show evidence of English Language proficiency.

Closing date for applications: June 30, 2023

Interviews are to be conducted in July 2023.

How to Apply for UDS Admissions

Mode of Application for Domestic (Ghanaian) Applicants

All Ghanaian applicants for the 2024/2025 Academic Year admissions are required to use the UDS Online Admissions Portal. The procedure for the online application process is as follows:

  1. Make a payment of GH¢ 200.00 (two hundred Ghana Cedis) for the UDS E-Voucher at any Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB), Prudential Bank, Zenith Bank, Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), Stanbic Bank, and Ecobank branches throughout the country.
  2. The E-Voucher contains the PIN and Serial Number required to complete the online form.
  3. Access the online form by visiting our online admissions portal here soon after payment.

Alternatively:

    1. Visit the UDS online Admissions Portal here with a MasterCard or Visa to make an online payment of GH¢200.00 (two hundred Ghana Cedis)
    2. Print the advice slip for future reference.
    3. In completing the online form, students will be required to upload their most recent passport-size photographs with white backgrounds and relevant certificates
    4. A completed form is not considered until it is submitted.
    5. Applicants are advised to check thoroughly all details entered before finally submitting their online applications. A form, once submitted, can only be viewed, but cannot be edited.
    6. Candidates are strongly advised to visit any Ghana Post EMS Office in the Country for assistance with the return of the application documents (see VIII). Applicants are advised not to post the forms themselves. They should seek the advice and services of Ghana Post EMS.
    7. Applicants must print out the application summary; and attach results slips, certificates and all other relevant documents. These documents should be submitted in triplicates (three copies each) to the Senior Assistant Registrar (Academic Affairs Section).
    8. The application documents as specified in (VII) above should be addressed to:

Mode of Application for Foreign Applicants

All non-Ghanaians are advised to apply as follows:

  1. Visit the UDS Online Admissions Portal with a Master Card or Visa Card to make an online payment of $100.00 (One Hundred US Dollars)
  2. Print the advice slip for future reference
  3. Access the online form by visiting our Online Admissions Portal soon after payment.
  4. In completing the online form, students will be required to upload their passport-size photographs and certificates
  5. A completed form is not considered until it is SUBMITTED
  6. Applicants are advised to check thoroughly all details entered before they finally submit their online applications. A form, once submitted, can only be viewed, but cannot be edited.
  7. Print out the application summary; attach results slips, certificates, and all other relevant documents. These documents should be submitted in triplicates (three copies each) to the Senior Assistant Registrar (Academic& Student Affairs ).

UDS Closing Date

The closing date for submission of applications is June 30, 2023. Candidates should note that no applications will be accepted after the closing date.
