Before we Continue, Let’s talk a little about Ghana Health Service (GHS):

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) is a Public Service body established under Act 525 of 1996 as required by the 1992 constitution. It is an autonomous Executive Agency responsible for implementation of national policies under the control of the Ghana Minister for Health through its governing Council – the Ghana Health Service Council.

GHS Functions

For the purposes of achieving its objectives the GHS performs the following functions amongst others:

Provide comprehensive health services at all levels in Ghana directly and by contracting out to other Ghana agencies. As part of this function, the GHS is:

• Develop appropriate strategies and set technical guidelines to achieve Ghana national policy goals/objectives.
• Undertake management and administration of the overall Ghana health resources within the service.
• Promote healthy mode of living and good health habits by people in Ghana.
• Establish effective mechanism for disease surveillance, prevention and control in Ghana.
• Determine charges for Ghana health services with the approval of the Ghana Minister of Health.
• Provide in-service training and continuing education in Ghana.
• Perform any other functions relevant to the promotion, protection and restoration of health in Ghana.

Ghana Health Service Recruitment

Following the financial clearance granted by the Ministry of Finance for the recruitment of Allied Health Professionals and Pharmacy Technicians, the Ghana Health Service wishes to inform the general public, particularly, qualified trainees who fall within the above categories that it will commence the recruitment process into the Ghana Health Service from Thursday 13th June 2019.

Therefore, qualified trainees who are part of these categories whose clearance have been received (as indicated below) to work in the service are requested to formally apply online by logging onto the online application portal https://mohcrp.com and follow relevant instructions to select the preferred region within the service.

Deadline for submission of application is Thursday 20th June, 2019.

The Ghana Health Service wishes to inform the general public, particularly, newly qualified Medical Officers and Health Service Administrators that it will commence the recruitment process on Thursday 13th June 2019.

Medical Officers who are part of the group whose financial clearance has been received and intend to work in the various health facilities under the service are kindly requested to formally apply online by logging onto the GHS online application portal at https://mohcrp.com and follow relevant instructions.

The online portal system comes with instructions as to what applicants are supposed to do at any point.
