The Management Development And Productivity Institute Job 2017

The Management Development and Productivity Institute (MDPI) was established on 26th October, 1967 under a joint Ghana Government, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and International Labour Organisation (ILO) Project. The Institute replaced its forerunner, the National Productivity Centre (NPC) which had been established in June 1964 as part of the then Planning Commission. The Legislative Instrument (LI) 1077 of 1st July, 1976 incorporated the Management Development and Productivity Institute as a parastatal. The Institute was formally handed over to the Ghana Government by the UNDP and ILO in 1977 when the joint sponsorship ended.

Job Description

Job Title: Accounts Manager

The incumbent will report directly to the Director, Finance and Administration,
The incumbent responsibility will include:
Assist the Director, F & A in the day to day activities;
Take care of all financial transactions;
Ensures effective revenue collection and expenditure
Ensures effective accounting system and procedures
Provision of appropriate management information for planning and controlling the operations of the Institute;
End of year’s accounts.

Required Skills or Experience

The incumbent must have:-
Bsc, (Admin) Finance & Accounting or
A recognized professional qualification in Accounting (CA, ACCA, ACMA)
A post qualification relevant working experience of not less than eight (8) years in a comparable Institution.
